Rotarians deliver the military children's Halloween candy to Deployment Readiness Coordinator Crystal Gates (third from the left).

On Camp Pendleton, Deployment Readiness Coordinator (DRC) Crystal Gates needed candy donations for a Halloween Trunk or Treat. The plans indicated a large event because everyone isolated so much over the past few months. Cars were going to be spaced six feet away for a socially-distanced candy delivery.

As part of advanced preparation, military personnel put together candy packages so it could be given to the costumed kids.

Rotarians participated in this military event by providing candy for the Trunk or Treat. Anyone could volunteer even without base access by getting a candy bag, In some cases, Rotarians offered more than one bag of treats. Many felt that the kids needed a treat-filled night since they had been inside so long due to COVID-19.
