Kindergarten Teacher Ms. Celis has fun teaching with technology using the Distance Learning Playbook.

Ms. Celis was excited to teach using the playbook. On her website, she wrote that her kindergartners were going to “Sing, Dance and Read!” while learning through technology. Rotarian Don Weeks dropped off the playbook funds to Associate Superintendent of Education Services Mrs Julie Norby. She said that the school district had chosen this book because they were familiar with two of the authors - renowned educators Douglas Fisher and Nancy Frey. The playbook became the District’s bible during the pandemic.

Associate Superintendent of Education Services Mrs. Norby and Rotarian Don Weeks display the funds and the Distance Learning Playbook at the Fallbrook Union School District. By the way, Mrs. Norby, a member of the Carlsbad Evening Rotary, is a past president of her club. She appreciated that helping her school was part of a District Grant.

For online learning during the pandemic, teachers enjoy using the Distance Learning Playbook provided by our Rotary.
