District Governor Dan Gensler presents Rotarian Erica William's PHF Award.

During his District Governor visit, Dan Gensler presented several Paul Harris Fellow Awards to our members along with delivering some Paul Harris history.  Paul Harris and our District Governor were born in the same town: Racine, Wisconsin. Of course, Paul Harris was born in1905 years before our District Governor. Paul Harris started the first Rotary meetings in the early 1900s. A few years later, Rotarian Arch Klump was very passionate about the Foundation side. Thus, he began the first steps to create the Rotary Foundation. In 1958, Rotary created the Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) for $1,000 contributions or equal points. For each $1,000, a Rotarian receives another PHF and can become a major donor at $10,000.   The Foundation is the Rotary arm doing all the  amazing humanitarian work throughout the world and is able to complete this work due to donations.

Along with Erica Williams, the following people received their first PHF pin and certificate.

Rotarian Chuck Ibold provides military support and handles Master of Ceremonies duties for our fundraisers.

As Past President 2018-19, Rotarian Karen Utley handles military support and was Executive Secretary 2016-2020.

Rotarian Ally Abbott is President Elect 2021-22 and Miss/Teen Fallbrook Decorating Chair.

Rotarian Kathye Rietkerk is our Treasurer for 2020-22 and our 2019-20 Rotarian of the Year.

As he said, our club had a bunch of Paul Harris Foundation awards today.  He also mentioned his meeting with our Rotary Board earlier, and he thanked our club for all the hard work.

Putting the final touches on the celebration, Ally created a wonderful cake to honor birthdays and anniversaries. Everyone enjoyed!
