Members of the Fallbrook Village, Fallbrook, and Bonsall Rotary clubs, along with several Fallbrook youth, conduct the ribbon cutting for the Fallbrook Peace Pole
In an enduring effort to promote peace, Rotary International is installing peace poles throughout the world, which now exceed 250,000. Of note, Rotary was central in drafting the UN Charter, and 1 of only a small handful NGO's that has a seat at the table. The vision of our District Governor, Chuck Pretto, was to have every Rotary club within District 5340 to install a peace pole. The message, "May Peace Prevail on Earth" is inscribed on each pole. A dedicatory plaque was also installed. The dedication was well attended by numerous community leaders, including several Rotarians from each club within our community. Special thanks to District Governor Chuck Pretto and District Governor Elect Don Fipps for making the journey from San Diego to be part of our dedication ceremony!
