Carol Hodges discussed navigating life during times of change.
Life Coach Hodges started the presentation with a scary story about a flame that started in her husband’s workshop. She had tried to use fire extinguishers to no avail. Of course, she started running hollering “Fire!” She grabbed their cats and called 911. Her husband helped onsite workers to leave the property and ran to meet the fire trucks at their front gate. The fireman battled the flames that were at the roofline and finally doused the fire.
Their ceiling had caved into the water-logged living room. She had to ask a fireman to hand over her soggy purse that sat on the dirty couch. Nevertheless, everyone was safe.
She and her family needed resilience to move forward and not cling to the familiar. It became about breathing and anchoring to the present. They were able to lean on others who came to help them. It was time to look discover inner strengths and build a new house.
It is important to find out what’s next. She asked the Rotarians about what’s next in their lives. Learn more about Carol Hodges and the Life Change Navigator to build your future.
