Rotarian Ron Berry, flanked by Jose Cruz, CEO of SD Council on Literacy and President Ally, after Ron shared an exciting new reading program he is championing!
During our February 7th meeting club members heard from one of our new Rotarians, Ron Berry, about an exciting new reading and literacy program. A retired publisher and lifelong advocate for children's literacy, Ron is introducing a new reading program based upon resources he has developed over the course of his career.  These books are unique in that they are interactive in nature and help children to understand their feelings and give them words to help them describe what they are feeling. Ron has literally thousands of books to help the club jumpstart this program, as a successor to our historic Now & Ben reading program.  Additionally, he has already been in touch with DG Chuck Pretto to get this program going on a District-wide basis. Who knows, Fallbrook Village Rotary may just be the start of something BIG!  To that end, please reach out to Ron if you would like to help him get this program off the ground; he is looking for 4-5 members to work on a committee level. Thank you Ron, we are looking forward to what this program holds in store!
