The whole family shared excitement for Student of the Month (SOM) Vividiana Estrella, even the family dog.

COVID caused the cancellation of the SOM monthly breakfast. School principals, teachers and volunteers drove to students' homes to celebrate their achievements. Rotarians Don Weeks, Paula Shilts, and Jen Weeks cheered for these excellent students. Three students (Vividiana Estrella, Daniel Sanchez and Grace Bell) received the December recognition parade with balloons, a lawn sign, and a goody bag. One item listed the contact person for a story in the Village News.

Teachers and Volunteers cheered for Daniel Sanchez, the OASIS High School SOM. His teacher spoke about him taking on hard, challenging courses and conquering them.

Grace Bell's mother talked about how much her daughter focused on her studies at Fallbrook High School.

Rotarian Paula Shilts created a sign to bring to the celebration for the student's achievements. Everyone showed excitement for students' hard work, focus on education, and volunteerism that would serve them well as adults. Even a goat came by to join the festivities!

Congratulations Students of the Month!
