
Happy parents discussed their daughter’s accomplishments at FUHS.
At North Coast Church, it was a wonderful morning for FUHSD teachers and counselors to talk about their outstanding students! The Fallbrook Community cheered them on! Don Weeks, Steve Achard and Jen Weeks attended to represent our Rotary — as one of the sponsors for the event.
While the audience enjoyed a fine breakfast, the Marines of VMM-164 the completed the Pledge of Allegiance and medal Presentation. Here are the accomplishments of the amazing students.
- Oliver Kurnik manages a 4.0 while mastering several AP classes. At the same time, he travels to an Orange County training facility weekly as a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) D1 soccer player. Oliver dreams about becoming a professional player.
- Volleyball Team Captain Ellie Workman handles student athletic trainer responsibilities in a variety of sports. She is also a life guard and swim instructor. Ellie plans to attend the University of Hawaii to study Marine Biology or Kinesiology.
- While being an avid volunteer, Sarah Aldridge stays on the honor roll.This artistic student participates in the theatre club and STEM. She took a trip to Bali to care for sea turtles preparing for a future in Marine Biology at the University of Santa Cruz. Sarah has an interest in coral reefs.
- Although Spanish is his native language, Julio Romero learned English in five years. He makes student connections for absenteeism and works as a peer mentor. Julio, who has won several public speaking awards, obtained a scholarship to study pre-law.
