A proud dad talks about his daughter’s enthusiasm and leadership skills.

Along with our Rotary club, several community representatives gathered to celebrate this month’s students: Fallbrook Women’s Club, Fallbrook Vintage Car Club, Angel Society, San Diego Sheriff’s Department, and American Association of University Women (AAUW) to name a few. The FUHSD Director of Student Services Dr. Anabel Luna gave her opening remarks, and Master of Ceremonies Crystal Gates announced the SOM presentation. Everyone cheered as the Marines provided the students with their medals.

What do we know about this month’s recipients?

  • Although she got left behind during COVID’s online learning, one OASIS high-schooler will now graduate early with a 3.8 GPA and have the ability to take a gap year before pursuing further education. She will start at a local junior college and transfer for a four-year degree.
  • The ASB President and choir soloist will attend Cal State Chico and pursue a degree in Psychology. Her mother said her daughter is well-grounded and doesn’t give in to peer pressure.
  • THE FUHS’ PEP Commissioner, who started her ASB career as a freshman, works as a volunteer for several local charities. When she injured her leg in rugby, she moved on to Football Team Manager. She plans to attend a local college focusing on digital marketing and photography.
  • A Field Hockey and Lacrosse Captain helped drive her team to the championships and excels in AP differential and integral Calculus BC. She plans to travel to York to possibly play Lacrosse and study Kinesiology.

Rotarians Don and Jen Weeks enjoyed the event where teachers, family and coaches encouraged high school students to reach for the stars. Congratulations to All!
