This month’s recipients display their yard signs & academic medals.

Three amazing Fallbrook High students and one excellent Oasis student received honors for their superior sportsmanship, leadership or academic capabilities.

  • One student managed a 4.0 for five semesters straight, worked on the school newspaper, and showed fine leadership in ROTC. Future goals include a law enforcement career.
  • Displaying feistiness on the field, a hockey player worked hard on a team that is first in the league. A doctor said this player has a hole in one knee but that doesn’t stop the participation in LaCrosse. This student just shrugged and said that will just result in more doctor visits! This future medical student wants to be a surgeon.
  • A teacher honored a student who excelled in AP Psychology along with other AP coursework. This scholar plans to attend Brigham Young or San Diego State University to come a Nurse or a Physician’s Assistant.
  • Lastly, a student, who brought his grandparents to the event, stayed humble even while doing well in AP classes. This future mechanical engineering major may attend Boise State or Baylor University — to name a few choices.

At North Coast Church, Emcee Crystal Gates hosted the ceremony, and Spencer Osborn delivered the opening prayer. The honorees received their medals from the Marines of MAG-39 Marine Air Group. Rotarian Don Weeks attended this month’s presentation representing our club’s sponsorship.

Congratulations to January’s Brilliant Students!
