The Fallbrook Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot  is a fun family event. On Thanksgiving morning, participants come together for community fundraising while feeling good and creating memories of a lifetime.  Families and their dogs join in the 5K stroll. Our Rotary goal is to raise funds for the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary and the Fallbrook Community(s).

Rotarian Erica Williams (left) , who organizes this event, and Karen Utley confirm the Turkey Trot routes. In 2019,  there were two 5K routes: one had six laps around the Grand Tradition Gardens and other had runners tromping through Los Jilgueros Preserve.

The Grand Tradition provides the event with a beautiful location, and Fallbrook Fire Department provides guidance to all the runners.

Rotarians Ally Abbott, Chuck Ibold, Sherri Trombetta, and Don Weeks smile as they work the event.

Both runners and walkers get into the Thanksgiving spirit. There were quite a few turkeys out there enjoying their 3K.

Both children and dogs felt welcome. Rotarian Paula Shilts' grandson munched on a pre-race donut. Rotarian Chuck Ibold reached out to one dog slated to make the run.
